SEP Session 2, Day 6

Today in Exploration Earth, the campers journeyed to the nearby UVa grounds to visit a creek and a reservoir pond. The students were collecting various organisms to identify and care for over the last few days of camp. Alexa led the students in the proper way to use their nets and collect the organisms. The students were able to catch some small minnows, a young salamander, tadpoles, a bullfrog, crawfish, water-skimmers, and a fish.

In addition to catching these animals, Alexa and the campers released two tadpoles that had grown legs and begun maturing from the Session 1 exploration.
