Today students in “Imagination and Invention” visited a Charlottesville shoe factory! The students were able to speak with the inventor and owner of OESH Shoes, Dr. Casey Kerrigan, who has spent years researching and developing a shoe based on the motions of running and walking. In her factory, students explored the finished products as well as the complete process for creation. We observed Dr. Kerrigan's 3D-Printers that she and her team developed themselves in order to be able to create a new generation of shoe soles. We also were able to see how the team members attach the rest of the shoe to the soles and got a sneak peak at the newest shoe in their collection.

Thank you for your feedback. Unfortunately, due to privacy restrictions we are not taking photos that show student faces. It is difficult to take photos that do not show student faces during class discussions or group work. We are trying are best to get photos of student work and students in action.
I'd rather see the kids in action rather than videos they're watching. Thanks.
